Job Description:
As a Drum Teacher at River Recording Studios, you will play a vital role in shaping the musical journey of our students. You will be responsible for imparting drumming skills, music theory, and a love for rhythm and percussion. Your primary duties will include:
1. Teaching Drumming Techniques:
- Instructing students in proper drumming techniques, including hand and foot coordination, rhythm, and timing.
- Designing lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
2. Music Theory and Fundamentals:
- Teaching music theory as it relates to drumming, including reading drum notation and understanding rhythm.
3. Performance Coaching:
- Preparing students for performances and recitals, helping them build confidence and stage presence.
4. Providing Feedback:
- Offering constructive feedback and guidance to students on their progress.
- Tracking and documenting student performance and achievements.
5. Inspiring Passion for Music:
- Creating a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages a lifelong love for music.
6. Safety and Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensuring the safety of students by adhering to safety guidelines and proper use of drumming equipment.
- Keeping drumming equipment well-maintained and in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a drum teacher or instructor.
- Proficiency in drumming techniques across various styles and genres.
- Strong knowledge of music theory and rhythm.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A passion for music education and a commitment to helping students achieve their musical goals.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in drumming and music education.
